When you love a piece, you want it to last. Good care helps your hijabs, jilbabs, dresses, abayas, and modest sets keep their softness, colour, and shape for longer.
Start by washing gently. Many modest pieces do better with mild soap and cool water. Harsh washing can weaken fabric, fade colour, or affect the drape. If a fabric is delicate, hand washing is often the safer choice.
Avoid overcrowding the wash. Clothes need space to move cleanly. When too many pieces are washed together, friction can make fabrics look tired faster.
Drying also matters. Direct harsh sunlight can affect some colours. A shaded airy place is often better for keeping fabric fresh and beautiful. For chiffon and lighter fabrics, handle with care so the edges stay neat.
Iron on the right heat setting. Some fabrics need low heat, while others can handle more warmth. When unsure, test a small hidden area first or use a cloth between the iron and the garment.
Caring for modest wear is a form of stewardship. When you treat your clothing well, it serves you better and stays elegant through many wears.
